When you use coaxial cables, keep a few key things in mind right from the start. During the installation process, you really should avoid bending them into sharp corners at all costs. Instead, arrange the cable in a smooth arc shape whenever it bends. Make sure that bending radius stays no less than five times the cables outer diameter to prevent any damage.
For laying cables out in the open, steer clear of metal clamps to hold them in place. Go with special plastic clips that are made just for securing coaxial cables. The size of those clips has to match the outer diameter of the cable pretty closely. Clips that end up too large or too small just wont work right for the job.
Always prioritize the safety of the coaxial cable throughout the whole construction phase. These cables do not have much mechanical strength overall. So, never pull on them with too much force during construction or installation work. If you are laying cables over longer distances, set up pulleys at any bends to ease the traction. Also, put some talcum powder inside the conduit to cut down on friction when you thread the cable through.
When you lay coaxial cables along indoor and outdoor walls or columns in corridors and similar spots, stick to using PVC conduits for protection. For burying cables under roads, do not just bury them directly or shield them only with plastic pipes. Lay them inside galvanized pipes to keep everything secure and up to standard.
