FEATURES & APPLICATION
Gas Discharge Tube Surge Arresters utillzed a gas-filled discharge tube(GDT).The GDT works as an insulator but can be automatically conductive in very short time when the lightening current flows into the protector,then the lightening current will be diverted to earth viaouter contact and grounding means.Once the suge subsided,the GDT rever to its oringinal condition,and be ready for next spark-over.
Surge arresters can work repeatedly if on damage done to the GDT and the miantenance is easy since the GDT is replaceable.It has the characteristics of wide frequency range,low VSWR,low insert loss and easy installation.(Some modenls were developed with CITEL).
