Connection failed
1. The designer made an inappropriate material selection. To reduce costs, they mistakenly used a non-elastic brass seat ring, which easily caused the nut to fall off.
2. During processing, the groove for the nut retaining ring was not deep enough, causing the nut to fall off even with a slight application of torque during connection.
3. Although the material selection was correct, the process was unstable. The beryllium bronze elastic treatment did not reach the hardness specified in the drawings, resulting in a lack of elasticity in the retaining ring, which caused the nut to fall off.
4. During testing, the user did not have a torque wrench and used a standard wrench to tighten the nut. The tightening torque greatly exceeded the specified value, causing the nut (retaining ring) to become damaged and fall off.
