Description

MCX Crimp Straight Male Plug for RG174/RG316 is a straight crimp male MCX RF coaxial connector, designed for 50Ω impedance, compatible with RG174, RG316 and SFF-50-1.5 thin coaxial cables, snap-on mating interface, operating frequency DC~6GHz.

characteristics

The MCX Crimp Straight Male Plug for RG174/RG316 features a three-part crimp design (inner conductor crimp, insulation support, and outer shield crimp) to ensure stable RF performance; the straight-line connection between the male plug and the cable makes it suitable for installation scenarios where space is not restricted.

Installation Precautions

1. Adhere to wire stripping specifications; do not scratch the insulation or the inner conductor. If excessive strands of the copper shielding break during stripping, the wire must be stripped again.
2. Assemble components in the order of ferrule followed by connector; fold the shielding braid back to fully cover the connector ferrule.
3. Crimp the inner conductor first, then the outer shielding; ensure the crimping tool jaws fully compress the connection without repeated crimping.
4. Upon completion, test with a multimeter to ensure there is no electrical continuity between the center pin and the housing; verify the cable is secure and does not loosen when gently pulled.
5. Insert straight for mating and pull straight out for disconnection; do not twist or bend the connector, as this may damage the locking tabs.
6. Do not solder the shielding layer; for applications in humid environments or automotive settings, apply heat-shrink tubing to the rear section for waterproofing.
